How Did This Come About?

The Strategic Planning process of Citipointe Christian College was an initiative of the College Board and Executive. While this document reflects the present sentiment of the College stakeholders, the future effectiveness of this document rests with a commitment to review the outcomes on a regular basis to ensure continued responsiveness to the values of the College community and changes in society.

The terms of reference were

• That a consultative process be used where representatives of the various stakeholders of the College community are involved in focus groups, namely parents, staff, Executive and Board.
• That an independent consultant be employed to lead the process
• That the final document reflects and supports the initiatives in the Adelaide Declaration on the National Goals for Schooling in the Twenty First Century *
• That the final document makes clear statements about required outcomes, which can be understood and implemented by the whole community.

* In 2010 a College Improvement Plan will replace Towards 2010 and College documents will be updated to support the Melbourne Declaration on the national Goals for Young Australians which supersedes the Adelaide Declaration.
