In making offers of places to students the College takes into account criteria appropriate to the nature of COCB as a Christian co-educational school.   It is considered important to have an appropriately balanced College Community.

Criteria which are taken into account for entry of new students include:

  • Date of Application
  • Family or other association with the School
  • Personal faith and/or active church involvement of the parents
  • Academic record
  • If the student has previously attended a Christian school

In applying these criteria the perceived needs of the College at a particular time are taken into account.

Applicants for entry to a particular Year level are normally assessed for aptitude and ability whilst they are in the preceding Year.

Interviews for Preparatory, Year 1 and Year 8 are normally held in Term 2 of the year prior to commencement. For other Year levels, interviews are arranged as positions become available.
