The following criteria are used for selection for general teaching positions and senior teaching positions at COCB.

Criteria for General Teaching Positions 

• Evidence of Christian commitment

• Pastor’s testimony to Christian commitment

• Other Testimony to character

• Appropriate academic qualifications

• Appropriate practicum reports (beginning teachers), or

• Appropriate professional record (experienced teachers)

• Indication of Biblical philosophy of life and practice

• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or evidence of eligibility)

Criteria for Senior Teaching Positions

• Evidence of Christian commitment

• Pastor’s testimony to Christian commitment

• Other testimony to character

• Appropriate academic qualifications

• Clear evidence of a successful career

• Evidence of organisational competence

• Familiarity with position requirements

• Collegiality - ability to accept responsibility within a team situation

• Leadership qualities - ability to assist positions at a lower level of responsibility

• Indication of Biblical philosophy of life and practice

• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or evidence of eligibility)
